The New DELL Venue 8 and 11 Pro tablets that run Windows 8.1

The New DELL Venue 8 and 11 Pro tablets that run Windows 8.1, info.
 :D
I purchased both the 8 inch and 10 inch Venue tablets ,that run windows 8. I didn't know which one I would really enjoy.

I wanted to use them with Remotehams and other Microsoft programs. I am a Microsoft user.
Here are my results:
I downloaded Remotehams ver 8 on both tablets.

While running Remotehams on the 10 inch after 10 minutes or so, a pop up balloon would appear in the lower right screen, that indicated the display had stopped. Than the screen went BLACK. I could not even turn off the tablet with the on/off switch. To get the tablet back on line I had to physically remove the Battery Pack. After reinstalling the battery the tablet came on line again. I tried 5-6 times and each time the tablet locked up the video!

The Dell Venue 8 pro ,however worked flawlessly with remote hams and all other programs I installed.

Even if the 10 inch did work, I was going to return it as I the 8 inch audio output was much louder and the I liked the size and weight of the 8 inch unit. :D

I just got the Dell Venue Pro (8" Inch).  Its working great for me, I have got the client to crash a couple times on it by tapping to much on the screen, hihi.  I'll be working on fine-tuning the client to work better on this tablet by improving the touch screen support.

I also am the new owner of the New Dell Venue 8 Pro Tablet running Windows 8.1. I am running the RCForbs version 8 client, and is working flawlessly. Audio is very smooth and loud.
I have had no problems thus far, 73 Dana/N8DA ;D

Bought a Dell Venue 8 64 GB with Windows 8.1, here is what I have found;

Pros;
-fast boot-up, light weight, battery seems to perform for many hours of intermittent use, nice video display, smooth touch screen,
 and great audio from a small speaker.
-RCForb client loaded, runs well, receive audio is also good and smooth.

Con;
--RCForb client transmit audio is not as smooth as receive audio.

Notes; I have not tried to load RCForb Server (yet).

I noticed this also,  there is a particular setting that cleans up the TX audio.

Try this..

In Audio Device Settings,  change to Direct Sound.

In Audio Latency Settings, change to "Minimal Buffers".

This should fix your TX audio issue and make it real clean.
