Who checks for expired licenses?
« on: January 04, 2014, 08:21:58 am »
The station owners verify the original license request.  Does the station owner have to keep track when their license expires/renewal or does the RCForb server software or remotehams.com do that task?

The remote owner has to keep track of who is operating their remote.  There is no "automatic" approval system setup.

On this subject I have noted a couple of uploaded licences that appear out of date.
I've not taken much note as far because they were asking for TX rights on a receive only ORB.
I will have to check again, one was a French op who's uploaded document expired 18 years ago!

German licenses are valid as long as long as you paid for it every year! So for a lifetime!
But I have had many of QTH changes since 1978, I have now the third of 1998. ;D

It would really be nice if under "User Manager" we could enter a date that the Verified License is to expire.  Then the system would just remove "Can TX" from the user until a new license is uploaded, verified and a new expiration date is entered.....  I'll post this under ideas or recommendations.
