RCForb (Client) v0.7
« on: December 22, 2011, 02:44:00 pm »
RCForb (Client) is an application you install on your computer for using all the remotes instead the website. You can use it for RX Only, TX and more! The client also has a new built-in VOIP feature allowing users to easily RX and/or TX on remotes using a single application.

You may download the new client here User's Manual
http://download.remotehams.com/  (Download Page has been updated!)

If you get an Adobe Flash Player required message, you will need to install the Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer plugin.
Goto Adobe Flash Player (Other Versions).
* Make sure to pick Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer in Step 2.

Screenshot #2 Transmitting on my FT857. (Audio is relayed to other clients.)

Screenshot #3 Multiple TX users on the remote. (Everyone can hear each other.)

Is RCForb Installer failing?  or RCForb Client failing?

If you could email me a screenshot; that would be usefull also.

Hi Branden - Originally I tried the update from the client about 4 times with failures and then I reported it. Just now I again ran it from the old client notice of update available and this time it ran okay so unless you did something there it must have just been a fluke. Good to be back....I now have a solar cell system and my whole ham station, including the ft-817 remote  is running off solar. 73 Johnny kd5lwu@beyondbb.com

We had some web server issues today with an update gone bad.  This may have caused your download to become corrupted. Everything is reported to be working normally now.

Latest build keeps crashing on my Win8 64 bit machine.  It launches fine, but every time I try to connect it freezes.  I am running it in COMPAT mode WinXp SP3, but no luck.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Got everything working on my internal network!  Even made a few QSO's.

How do I make that annoying chat window disappear on the client side?   :D

Is there a way to do emergency power shutdown as admin?  Shutdown on TX LOCK?

To hide the Chat window, just click the little "Pin" icon on the chat windows title bar. If a remote user disconnects while in TX, the server automatically unkeys the radio.

Re: RCForb (Client) v0.7 Registration Issue Please HELP!
« Reply #9 on: June 04, 2015, 04:25:08 am »
I hope you can assist me with an issue.

This is Bruce W6SFG.  I have been trying to help DICK KC3AN. He is 85 years old in an assisted living facility in Staunton, VA. and has not been able to get on the air for several years, for obvious reasons.

A couple of weeks ago I visited him to get him on the air through my remote here in Lynchburg through RH.com.

Dick attempted to register, but entered his email address incorrectly. Therefore the validation email never reached him. When I attempted to re-register him, RH.com reported that ONLY ONE Callsign was allowed on his computer and after hours of attempting work around's, I ended up setting up a new gmail account for him and registering his wife's callsign. (N4VZC)  to that new email address.

All is working fine, and Dick is overjoyed that he is "on the air" again thanks to this wonderful new remote resource, but he would like his own call sign to show up on the Client.

Is there any way you can help me unravel this mess for him?

Please feel free to contact me if I can help. If you wish to email him at KC3ANDick@gmail.com, I can remote into his computer via Teamviewer.

Thank you in advance for your help!
Bruce

You need an additional serial port for CAT control with the Plug and Play interface. The CAT control in the Plug and Play is only for radios that use TTL logic, such as an Icom or early Yaesu radios.
