How can I interface my SteppIR controller and K3 to the same PC for the RCForb server?

I wrote a simple little program a while back that connects to the HRD IP server in RcForb server and will output to a serial port the frequency in Kenwood/Yaesu format.

1) Unzip the attached zip file and place the EXE somewhere convenient.
2) Enable the V5 HRD IP server in RcForb. Options->Server
3) Start up my program.
3) Select a Serial port that is connected to the StepIR controller.
4) Tell the Step-IR box it's connected to a Kenwood or Yaesu radio.

can't receive the frequency in my SteppIR Controller.
Do you use DataIN oder DataOUT and what about the serial cable?
Thanks in advance.

I send the frequency information out the serial port (TX line) at 9600 baud and whatever com port is selected.
