FT-990 drivers
« on: February 15, 2018, 03:00:29 pm »
I just started install of my FT-990 and noticed that there are very few buttons and no sliders for this radio. Are there any newer drivers that address this issue. CAT supports a lot in this radio.
I noticed in a previous reply to a similar question that "it doesn't look like there are any more CAT Functions available, but there are. I'll try to copy a page of the user manual listing CAT functions. Seems I can't attach the CAT page from the 990 manual as it is too large. The info is located on page 41 of the user manual.

Thanks

There really are not that many CAT commands with the FT-990.

The only controls I see that aren't implemented are repeater offset and some memory controls.

Sorry I updated my request as you replied. There are a lot more CAT functions listed on Page 41 of the user manual. I couldn't attach the page because I couldn't make the file small enough. I can send you the CAT section on the 990 if you give me an email address.

The extra CAT functions that would be nice are A=B and Bandwidth.
There is a Filter button enabled but it dosen't do anything. Maybe that was supposed to be the BANDWIDTH.

I was waiting on you to respond to my email earlier this week before I proceeded.

The A=B has been added.

it looks like Filter dropdown should work CW and AM but not in sideband. I can add the selction of Wide/Narrow to the driver for sideband modes.

I assume you have the 2.0 KHz and the 250 Hz filters installed.

If you could put TeamViewer ( http://www.teamviewer.com ) and private message me or email your TeamViewer credentials, I can test the addition to the Filter dropdown.
