Ontrak ADR2200 Relay Interface
« on: February 12, 2013, 07:13:07 am »
Remote Hams now has support for the ADR2200 switch from Ontrak. To enable the switch in the server, under Radio Configuration, select the tab "Other Devices", check Enable and select the proper Serial Port and serial rate (should be 9600).

The initial release of the driver has some hard coding of the way the switches are named and work. In the future the remote owner will be able to rename and group switches.

Buttons ANT 1 to ANT 4 control the first 4 relays (RL0 to RL3) on the switch. These button are mutually exclusive i.e. Only one button in this group may be selected at one time. If a user tries to unselect all button in this group, the driver will set ANT 1 as a default. This is to ensure at least something is connected to the radio.

The last 4 buttons (RLY4 to RLY7, named AMP 1, SW6 to SW 8 ) are independent of each other.

Remote users need to download the latest version of the V8 Experimental Beta Client here : http://download.remotehams.com

Operating the buttons for the switch, are restricted to TX and Admin users only.

Update April 28, 2013 Version 4865 and later

Under the "Other Devices" tab in Radio Configuration, you may specify custom names in the Custom Names text box.

i.e. ANT1,ANT2,ANT3,ANT4,AMP    First 4 switches named ANTx and 5th switch named AMP, and last three default names SWx.

The first 4 switches are still mutually exclusive while the last 4 are independent.

How would I configure the RCForb server to have independent control of all 8 of the ADR2000 switches?

Is there a way to make buttons for unused switches invisible?

Thanks & 73,

If you rename a button(s) to "disabled" with a comma delimited list in the switch setup, it will be invisible in V9 of the Client. V8 will still display the button, but it will be disabled.

What would I need to rename the first four switches to, in order to make them independently controlled instead of mutually exclusive?

Thanks & 73,

I modified the ADR220 drive and will let you know when there is a new installer available.

Server with a modified ADR2200. Under Switches you will see "AD2200_IND"
